How it works
Scanners and phone cameras routinely produce PDFs where the pages are sideways or upside down. Viewing software lets you rotate the view temporarily, but that rotation is not saved — send the file on and the recipient sees it sideways again. This writes the rotation into the document itself.
View rotation versus saved rotation
Rotating in a PDF reader usually changes only how it is displayed on your screen. This tool sets the page's own rotation property, which travels with the file, so anyone opening it afterwards sees it correctly.
It rotates the whole document
Every page is rotated by the same amount. That suits the common case — a scan that came out uniformly sideways. A document with a mix of orientations needs page-by-page work in a dedicated editor.
Nothing is re-rendered
Only a rotation flag is changed. The page content is untouched, so the file size stays roughly the same and there is no loss of quality at all.
Rotate a PDF — questions
Does the rotation stay when I send the file to someone?
Yes. The rotation is written into the document itself, not just applied to your view of it.
Can I rotate only one page?
Not with this tool — the rotation applies to every page, which covers the usual case of a scan that came out uniformly sideways.
Does it reduce quality?
No. Only a rotation property changes; the page content is not re-rendered.
