How it works
Putting pictures together into one file is how you make a before-and-after, a comparison, a simple collage, or a single image where a form will only accept one upload. It is fiddly in an image editor and trivial here.
Three arrangements
Side by side suits before-and-after pairs and panoramas. Stacked suits long screenshots and step-by-step sequences. The grid arranges everything into roughly a square, which is what you want for a contact sheet or a simple collage.
Pictures of different sizes
Scale to match fits every picture into an identically sized cell, keeping each one's own proportions and centring it — nothing is stretched. Keep original size uses the largest picture's dimensions as the cell and pads the smaller ones. Scale to match is usually what people want.
Gaps and background
A gap of a few pixels separates the images visibly; the background colour fills both the gaps and any padding around pictures that do not fill their cell. White suits documents, black suits photographs.
The result is a PNG
PNG is lossless, so nothing is degraded by the combination itself. If the result is large, run it through the image compressor afterwards.
Combine images — questions
Will my pictures be stretched?
No. Each one keeps its proportions and is centred in its cell.
How do I change the order?
Images are combined in the order listed. Remove one and add it again to move it to the end.
How many can I combine?
Up to 30, provided the combined picture is not enormous.
Are my images uploaded?
No. They are combined in your browser.
