Unzip a ZIP file
Open an archive and pull out just the files you need, without uploading it.
- Runs on your device — the file is never sent anywhere
- No sign-up, no watermarks, no daily quotas
- Free, with no limit on how often you use it
How it works
Most operating systems can open a ZIP, but not always the one you are sitting at — a locked-down work machine, a phone, a borrowed computer. This opens the archive in the page and lists what is inside, so you can take only the file you actually need.
You choose what to take
Rather than dumping everything, the contents are listed with their sizes and each is a separate download. If you only wanted one document out of forty, you take one.
What it cannot open
Password-protected archives are not supported, and neither are RAR or 7z, which are different formats despite doing a similar job. Plain ZIP only.
Folders
Files inside folders are listed by their own name rather than the full path, which keeps the list readable. Two files with the same name in different folders will therefore look alike — check the sizes if you are unsure.
Unzip a ZIP file — questions
Can it open password-protected ZIP files?
No. Encrypted archives are not supported.
Does it work with RAR or 7z?
No. Those are different formats. This handles standard ZIP archives only.
Is my archive uploaded?
No. It is opened in your browser with JSZip, and the contents never leave your device.
